Karité

Karité is a brand featuring sustainably sourced shea butter moisturizers created by board-certified dermatologist Dr.Naana Boakye and her sisters.

The sisters set out to create a moisturizer similar to the raw, unrefined shea butter they grew up using, but that would be easier to spread on the skin. The shea butter is sourced from Ghana and blended with plant-based botanicals and vitamins to make a moisturizer that is safe and extremely hydrating for all ages, genders, skin types and skin tones. Every purchase supports the livelihood of women-led shea cooperatives in Northern Ghana.

About the Sister/Founders:

- Naana is a board-certified dermatologist and has her own practice, Bergen Dermatology, in Northern NJ. She is the co-founder and CEO of Karité.

- Abena’s background is in law, and she is an attorney. She is the co-founder and COO of Karité.

- Akua’s background is in sales and marketing. She is the co-founder and CMO of Karité.

How To Use

1. For the best results, apply after showering or bathing while the skin is slightly damp. 2. Apply a small amount to the hands and begin by rubbing the cream onto your limbs and massaging over your entire body. 3. Use twice a day for optimal results.

Crème Mains is a nourishing, lightweight hand cream that helps restore moisture and repair the skin’s barrier without any harsh chemicals. The high concentration of raw, unrefined shea butter protects the skin against the elements, frequent hand-washing and household cleaners.

How To Use

1. Apply a pea-sized amount to the back of your hand. 2. Gently rub hands together being sure to spread the cream around to the palms and in between fingers. 3. Use multiple times a day, especially after hand-washing and using hand sanitizer.
